Lionel Messi is also known as  Leo Messi .Lionel Messi was born on 24 June 1987,and his place of  birth is Rosario,Santa Fe, Argentina .

 

His father name is Jorge Messi His dad was working at a Steel factory .

His mother name is  Celia  Cuccittini ,and she worked in magnet manufacturing workshop .

                                     

Messi had two elder brothers Rodrigo and Matias and one sister Maria Sol .

When Lionel Messi was young ,he was very close to his Grandmother And at that time only his grandmother wanted him to become a great footballer ,at the age of 4 only he joined the training club .Messi played all day long to fulfill his grandmother's dream . 

               

But when Messi was 10 years old then his grandmother passed away and Messi was completely broken at that time ,Messi went into depression after his grandmother's  death .And he didn't even touched football ,Seeing this ,Messi father told him that instead of being bothered by grandmother's death ,you should devote your whole life to fulfill her dream .Grandmother wanted you to be the number 1 footballer  in the world .Be it you have to fulfill Grandmother's dream .

But very few people know about his struggle ,When Messi was only 10 years old He had a dangerous disease called Growth Hormone Deficiency .(a condition caused by insufficient amounts of growth hormone in the body, leading to impaired growth and development .)

Messi was a child at that time when he was suffering from this disease (Growth hormone deficiency ) because of this disease Messi had to injected on his thighs every night .And it was not  just the matter of one day ,He had to get injected  on  one leg for seven days and on the other leg for seven days .How painful it would  be for 10 or 11 year old kid ? 

The condition of Messi's house was also very bad ,at that time the cost of Messi's  illness was also very expensive ,Messi's father tried his best to bear the cost of Messi's illness and he also bore the cost of Messi's illness for a long time but   the economic condition of  Messi's house becoming  very bad .It was  becoming difficult for Messi's father to run the house and the expenses of Messi's illness .

At that time Messi was only 14 years old and he started playing for Barcelona youth Academy .

So at the age of 13 he join Barcelona ,for whom he made his competitive debut aged 17 in October 2004 .
