                            ELIZABETH'S VISIT TO INDIA 



Queen Elizabeth made her first visit to India in 1961 .This was Elizabeth first visit to India .When she came to India as  a Queen .And at that time India had become Independent .And she became the first Queen of the British Royal family who stepped into Independent India .So This was her first visit in India .Her flight landed at Delhi Palam Airport .And at that time First President of India Dr Rajendra Prasad ,First Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru ,and First Vice President of India welcomed her .


In her first visit to India Elizabeth became a  part of the Republic Day Celebrations .And Elizabeth also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi ,(The father of Nation)  in Rajghat 


 

Elizabeth along with her entire Family enjoyed the visit of TajMahal .And Elizabeth also visited many states of the Country like Mumbai, Banaras etc. And the Government of India gave Elizabeth a model of Qutub Minar as  a Gift .

 When Queen Elizabeth came to India on her Second visit .At that time the Prime Minister of India was Indira Gandhi .She was the daughter of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru .

Queen Elizabeth visited the Jallianwala Bagh .where she paid tribute to martyrs .

Elizabeth said in one of her visits to India that the Warmth,Prosperity,and Legitimacy of the Indian people has been inspiration to all of us .

Elizabeth visited Jallianwala Bagh and during that time she said that there are  some mysterious events in our past that we know about .Jallianwala Bagh is a heart wrenching example .


Elizabeth also visited Golden Temple in India .She also reached the Golden Temple and when she reached the Golden Temple She was wearing saffron colored clothes .

Elizabeth had visited India three times ,she was also present at the Chief Guest on the occasion of Republic Day .

                   THE UNHEARD STORIES OF ELIZABETH   Elizabeth used to give a signal in a certain way through her handbag and it was strictly forbidden to touch Elizabeth's bag . Elizabeth used to celebrate her birthday twice a year .Elizabeth was born on 26 April 1926 in London .But Common Wealth countries traditionally celebrated the Queen's birthday also . Elizabeth  did not like Junk food at all .The one thing Elizabeth didn't like to eat was Garlic .    Elizabeth definitely used to wear a gloves in her hands and she always kept  two pairs of gloves in her purse too.  The main reason wearing Gloves was to protect her hands from dust,dirt and germs.
